Droli Bhai / Moga, April 17 – The people of Safuwala village in Moga district and the Panchayat, who are playing a leading role in this campaign, are participating enthusiastically in the vaccination campaign against the spread of Coronavirus. Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh has especially praised the residents of Village Safuwala.
In a post from his personal Twitter handle, the Chief Minister said that the people of village Safuwala had set an example by getting more and more vaccinations to prevent Covid 19. He announced that a special honorarium would be given by the Punjab Government to the Panchayats who have vaccinated 100% of the eligible population in their respective villages.
It may be mentioned here that the vaccination campaign against the spread of Coronavirus worldwide is in full swing. In Punjab too, every person above the age of 45 years is being vaccinated on the instructions of the Government of India. While this vaccination is being given full support by educated and intelligent people, under the influence of ignorance, some people are creating superstitions and misconceptions about this vaccination. On such an occasion, the people of village Safuwala are emerging as role models in defeating Covid 19.
Dr Inderveer Singh Gill, Senior Medical Officer, Community Health Center, Droli Bhai said that due to the initiative of the Panchayat of the village, a vaccination camp was organized by the Health Department at village Safuwala, in which 250 people were vaccinated. He said that even before this 120 persons of this village had happily got vaccinated. Dr Gill said that earlier during the corona sampling campaign, the villagers had enthusiastically cooperated with the health department.
Mr Sandeep Hans, Deputy Commissioner, Moga commended Mr Lakhwant Singh, Sarpanch of Safuwala village and the Panchayat and called upon other Panchayats to come forward for maximum sampling and vaccination. Mr Hans appealed to the general public to cooperate with the Health Department and the district administration for the success of the Mission Fateh launched by the Punjab Government.
