In the last 24 hours, the vigilant BSF troops seized 02 more drones with a heroin consignment and 02 round ammunition on the border area of district Amritsar.
a) On 13th Dec’ 2024, at about 06:25 pm 01 drone, a DJI Mavic 3 Classic was recovered by BSF troops from a farming field adjacent to village- Mullakot of district Amritsar.
b) Another DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone in broken condition along with 01 packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 550 Grams) and 02 live rounds of 9 mm in subsequent search were recovered by the BSF troops in a search, operation during night hours of 13th Dec’ 2024, from a farming field ahead of Border Security Fence adjacent to village- Ballaharwal of district Amritsar. The packet containing narcotics was wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a copper wire ring was found attached to it.
- Both the drones are presumed to have been knocked down due to activation of technical counter measures deployed on the border.
- Flawless counter drone drill with prompt action of BSF troops foiled a few more nefarious designs of narco-syndicates from across the border.
